Peter und Paul, heben wir das Renaissance-Relief der Jungfrau mit Christus oder der Wei\u00dfen Dame hervor, das Werk florentinischer Meister aus wei\u00dfem Marmor, das Gem\u00e4lde von Jacob Palma dem J\u00fcngeren, ein Werk von hohem k\u00fcnstlerischem Wert sowie die Renaissance-Kustodie mit einem Eisenrost aus dem 15. Jahrhundert und der Hauptaltar aus Marmor des Bildhauers Antonio Michelazzi. Die Kirche der hl. Peter und Paul hat auch ein Kreuz der Krbaver Bisch\u00f6fe, das sog. Milonja-Kreuz aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, das von Bischof Modru\u0161a Kri\u0161tafor nach Vinodol gebracht wurde und heute in Rijeka aufbewahrt wird.<\/p><p>Bribir war im 13. Jahrhundert im Besitz der Frankopanen, als ihre Vertreter 1288 an der Verabschiedung des Gesetzes von Vinodol teilnahmen, danach geh\u00f6rte Bribir den Grafen von Celje und es war die k\u00f6nigliche Stadt von Matthias Corvinus. Danach war Bribir im Besitz der Familie Zrinski bis 1671 und der Hinrichtung von Petar Zrinski in Wiener Neustadt.<\/p><p>Die erw\u00e4hnte Pfarrkirche der hl. Peter und Paul ist ein dreischiffiger Barockbau mit einem Glockenturm an der Vorderseite, der 1524 an der Stelle einer alten Kirche errichtet wurde, wie die glagolitische Inschrift belegt. Sie existierte h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich zum Zeitpunkt der Verabschiedung des Gesetzes von Vinodol im Jahr 1288 und sehr wahrscheinlich sogar noch fr\u00fcher. In der ersten H\u00e4lfte des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde sie erweitert, umdekoriert und barockisiert, aber Ende 1944 wurde sie zusammen mit der Altstadt, der Gemeinde und der Schule von den Tschetniks der dinarischen Division in Brand gesetzt, w\u00e4hrend ihres R\u00fcckzugs nach Rijeka. Dies ist die einzige katholische Kirche im ganzen Gebiet, die von den Anh\u00e4ngern Dra\u017ea Mihailovi\u0107s zerst\u00f6rt wurde. Das gesamte Kirchenarchiv und die Bibliothek brannten nieder.
