align=\"justify\"><p>Vinodol era abitata nell&#8217;et\u00e0 della pietra, e nel II secolo a.C. i romani le diedero il nome di <em>Vallis vineariae<\/em>. Attraverso la valle costruirono una strada per la Dalmazia e la fortezza di Badanj. Con l&#8217;arrivo dei croati, Vinodol ha preso il nome attuale e il vitigno, in particolare la variet\u00e0 autoctona \u017dlahtina, viene coltivato ancora oggi.<\/p><p>Le numerose fortificazioni, chiese e monasteri costruiti dai principi Frankopan e Zrinski attraverso i secoli del loro dominio hanno lasciato una profonda traccia nella storia croata. I principi Frankopan costruirono sul territorio dell\u2019ex principato di Vinodol nove fortezze, i cui rappresentanti erano firmatari del Codice di Vinodol del 1288.<\/p><p>Nell&#8217;area dell&#8217;odierna Vinodol ci sono tre dei nove castelli &#8211; Bribir, Gri\u017eane e Drivenik, e un altro dei tempi antichi &#8211; Badanj. Nella nostra regione, nell&#8217;allora sede del governo ecclesiastico, fu redatto il Codice di Vinodol (Vinodolski Zakonik) e i firmatari furono le allora citt\u00e0 di Bribir, Gri\u017eane e Drivenik. Il Codice di Vinodol \u00e8 stato scritto in glagolitico e, dopo la Pravda russa, \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 antico documento giuridico europeo. Nativo di queste zone \u00e8 anche Juraj Julije Klovi, \u201cMichelangelo delle miniature\u201d, uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi rappresentanti mondiali delle miniature e uno dei maggiori artisti Il preromanico \u00e8 presente nelle fondamenta della chiesa gotica di Santo Stefano a Drivenik e nella chiesa di San Giorgio sulla collina tra Bribir e Selce.<\/p><p>In stile gotico con una svolta verso il Rinascimento, sono state costruite la Chiesa di Ss. Pietro e Paolo, la Chiesa di S. Anton Pustinjak a Bribir, la Cappella di S. Martino a Podsko\u010di e dopo anche la chiesa di S. Martino a Gri\u017eane, cos\u00ec come la chiesa ampliata di Nostra Signora della Neve a Belgrad. Di grande pregio la Chiesa della Madonna della Neve per le numerose iscrizioni in alfabeto glagolitico, oltre che per il preziosissimo organo a mantice del XVIII secolo.<\/p><p>Tra i dipinti \u00e8 particolarmente prezioso il dipinto &#8220;Lavanda dei piedi&#8221; di Jacopo Palma il Giovane che si trova nella Chiesa di Ss. Pietro e Paolo dove sono custoditi anche un pregevolissimo santuario rinascimentale e un rilievo della Vergine. La Chiesa della Visitazione della Beata Vergine Maria a Santa Elisabetta a Tribalj \u00e8 menzionata come luogo di processo secondo il Codice di Vinodol.<\/p><p>I principi Frankopan e Zrinski incoraggiarono la costruzione di chiese e l\u2019arte, cos\u00ec durante il loro regno a Vinodol furono costruite oltre trenta chiese, cappelle e align=\"justify\"><p>La tradizione di Vinodol \u00e8 ricca ed interessante, caratterizzata dagli stili di vita durante i secoli e dai diversi influssi storici. Le tradizioni popolari di Vinodol variano da paese a paese.<\/p><p>Il costume popolare femminile \u00e8 di colore nero, ornato di pizzo, ricami e dettagli rossi mentre quello maschile \u00e8 bianco, ricamato con lana rossa o nera.<\/p><p>A Vinodol si cura in modo specifico il canto (\u201cna tanko i debelo\u201d) e lo strumento tradizionale che accompagna i canti popolari sono le sopile (strumento ad ancia doppia tipico per la Croazia). Oltre a questo, altri strumenti tradizionali sono le fidulice (strumento tradizionale a fiato composto da due parti, due flaute), le mi\u0161nice (strumento a fiato molto simile alla piva) e le tamburice (una specie di mandolino).<\/p><p>L\u2019architettura di Vinodol \u00e8 condizionata dal clima, dalla terra e dal modo di vivere nonch\u00e9 dalle possibilit\u00e0 materiali. Il materiale di base per la costruzione delle case di Vinodol con le corti \u00e8 la pietra. Molto interessanti sono i particolari ingressi nelle corti e nelle case i cosiddetti \u201cportoni\u201d.<\/p><p>Il Carnevale (Mesopust) rappresenta una delle pi\u00f9 antiche usanze popolari ed \u00e8 legato alla fine dell\u2019inverno e all\u2019inizio della primavera.
